Londontopia- the unveiled stories
In Londontopia, we will suggest a utopian dream of London, a city of stories and memories, together with international design students who live in London at the moment. Londontopia is an archive of possibilities from different people with many different ways of looking at the city. For this, we will first design a stage design that reflects the city, and then we will run the workshop to make it grow in the city.
We design a mobile working place, which becomes the stage of the workshop. The stage reflects the city, London, with drawn scenarios on the wall and the floor, which guide people. The stage has four corners which explore the city in different scales XS, S, M, L. The four corners work towards the centre of the stage afterwards. The objects on the stage include 1 suitcase with tools inside, 4 tables and 24 seats. The objects, as one perfect package, suggest the way of working as temporary visitors in the city create a perfect office. They also represent us as The Mobile Workshop Group, who work in different cities and meet in one place to perform the workshop with local residents there.
