Trgotopia
The wall is a fashion shop in the centre of Ljubljana, which offers “artists” a white wall where they are asked to express their thoughts.
The project Trgotopia- prostorski socializem (Shopotopia- spatial socialism) is a scenario about shops and the space they posses in a city.
Shops are the main space takers in city centres and have an important role in shaping people’s habits. They also have the power to schedule their activities. Therefore it is really important to take over this power and create a better system. This thought was addressing the problem of deserted city centres in the times when shops are closed.
The proposal was to create a system where more owners (activities) would share the space in different hours of the day. After every activity the space becomes blank again for the next activity to take over.
